My dad (soon to be 83) was just diagnosed with Alzheimer's, too--we knew for a couple years that something just wasn't quite right with him. My 83 year old mom is still caring for him, but it is just draining her. And of course, they live hundreds of mile from any of their kids! If you ever want to talk further, feel free to email me...

By the way, your Red House Sampler is just beautiful--love the gentleman bringing his sweetheart the bouquet!Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10368237913096460512noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14645017.post-76296483269267299392010-04-09T08:11:44.700-05:002010-04-09T08:11:44.700-05:00I am so sorry about your mom. We are in a somewhat similar situation..none of us kids live near mom..dad died 3 yrs ago...dementia is evident, but stubborn/bull headed is more the problem than anything..if you find a support group, please let me know also.. we are at a loss of how to help her when she refuses that there is a problem and refuses to live closer to any of us.. frustrating! Good luck and let me know of progress with things..Fayehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08709513026421038570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14645017.post-69372223496914101382010-04-07T06:34:39.047-05:002010-04-07T06:34:39.047-05:00I know how tough it is to watch parents get older....I know how tough it is to watch parents get older. Like Jackie said, I'm sure the right solution will show itself soon. Red House is looking nice. Our weather here has been a little nicer than it usually is this time of year. When even had a really warm Easter and that just almost never happens here. I like the picture of you and your hubby.Sharlottehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02002259391802104132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14645017.post-91079147836809962622010-04-07T04:49:58.386-05:002010-04-07T04:49:58.386-05:00I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope you find the right solution soon.

I really like your Red House project.
