Yes, Virginia......

......there is snow on the ground!  This morning we woke up to a dusting of snow, 1/3 inch to be exact.

Big deal?   Yeah, kind of, especially in December.  The nicest thing about snow in Virginia is that it doesn't hang around for very long!  Virginian's do not own snow blowers and rarely have to touch a snow shovel.

I took this pic as we were leaving for church this morning because I knew the snow would not wait for me to get back home.

I've made a little more progress on Red House Sampler.  I've struggled a bit with frog visits on this project.  I am ready to get this one behind me and have smaller projects in 2011!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend.   It's back to the grind tomorrow!  Ciao!

Hi Carol...Thanks for becoming a follower of my blog!
Your Red House Sampler is just gorgeous. You stitch beautifully!
Our snow days here sound about the same as yours. Masterchief went out and bought a snow shovel for the first time last year and we still haven't needed it! We've lived in Kentucky five years now. I don't miss the snow!!

What a pretty piece, hope the frog stays away :-). Enjoy your dusting of snow.

What a beautiful winter wonderland! You have a beautiful home - I love the big front porch.

I hate it when I have to keep ripping out on a particular project. Hopefully that is all behind you and rest of your sampler will be smooth sailing!

Love the snow pics, too!

This looks like a fabulous piece and a grand job you are doing with it. I hear you about *smaller* projects in 2011. How about fewer things on the to-do list? Please share how we can accomplish that! lol
