Hey y'all! I am so excited!! In August, I am going to Nashville, TN to attend "A Weekend with Paula". That would be the Lady herself, Paula Deen. I am a big Paula Deen fan. I love her show, I love her cookbooks, I love her recipes, I love her personality. I'm also excited because I am going some place I have never been to before, Nashville AND I will be traveling in a way that I have never traveled before, airplane!! YIPPEE!! My SIL and I are going together. It's going to be a blast y'all!!!

On the stitching front, I am continuing to work on Miss MOP and will show progress when there is enough to notice. I am planning to start a SAL project soon: America, Land That We Love. A couple of us are doing this in my Desperate Stitchers Yahoo group. I was supposed to start on March 1 but I am behind because I was in a stitching slump. I'm anxious to get started because I am going to stitch it on aida and it will give my eyes a break from the 32 ct. linen that Miss MOP is on. This chart was a freebie back in '00 or '01 on the Jean Farish website. It's no longer free but available for purchase. I hope all of my downloaded charts are clear enough to stitch by. Y'all know this is completely breaking my new rule of "no new projects" but it was actually planned BEFORE I made that rule. :-)
I have this theory about UFO's, if you can't finish them, trash them. Ha Ha. A little harsh isn't it?? I have one very expensive chart that I purchase back in '98 or '99. I even have the silks for it. I completed one band of stitching and into the UFO pile it went. Now I am considering selling it on eBay and reusing the fabric for something else. I'll let you know what I decide. I can't even tell you the WHOLE truth about this project. It's just TOO embarrassing!

Whoo-hoo, Carol! I'm excited for you too! I love Paula Deen's show; make sure you post all about the weekend (even though it's not until August)'cuz I want to hear all about it. If you could include some recipes, that would be nice too! Am I getting to be too demanding of a reader? ;)
